El Buey Fall

Route: El Buey Fall flowers, canyons and waterfalls.

The route begins in the municipality of La Ceja del Tambo, in which we visit an important part of the economy of this municipality, represented in the cultivation of hydrangeas that grace part of the route, besides the idiosyncrasies of its growers. We make a first ascent in the middle of the central mountain range with the sound of birds in the morning, then we get into the tributaries of the basin of the Arma River, the Piedra River, which comes from La Unión and makes us pedal in the middle of a rare mixture of Pine plantation with the native forest of the Andes. The canyon offers a tremendous view of the Buey and Piedra rivers and the famous “Salto del Buey”, which is a waterfall impossible to miss due to the steam of its cold waters because the famous Lenard effect, which the water produces when falling. We will arrive to that place to enjoy an excellent coffee, the adventure of a bath of energy on the soul and the cultural wealth of the Antioquia mountains.
