South America | Ecuador North – Andes, two slopes
Day 1: Arrival in Quito Airport and transfer to Zayzant Ecolodge
Arrival in Quito Airport and transfer to Zayzant Ecolodge or drive two hours to our Lodge but first,a stop in Maraksasha Reserve to try our first pictures of the different species arriving in this place, then drive one more hour to Sachatamia Lodge at 1.300 M.A.S.L.
Day 2: Visit to Birdwatchers House
Visit to Birdwatchers House to try the stunning Plate-billed Mountain Toucan and other fascinating species of this region. In the afternoon, come back to the lodge wich is one hour far.
Day 3: Visit Angel Paz Reserve
Visit Angel Paz Reserve to enjoy Antpittas and other species, then come back to the lodge.
Day 4: Visit Sachatamia blind, Milpe
Visit Sachatamia blind, Milpe, San Tadeo, Tumpiki or Choco Birds Reserve, depending of the birds activity, then, drive 2 hours to Amagusa Reserve, overnight in Amagusa.
Day 5: Full day in Amagusa Reserve, frogging at night.
Day 6: Morning in Amagusa
Morning in Amagusa and then, drive 3 hours to Pintag, overnight in Tambo Condor at 3.000 M.A.S.L.
Day 7: Visit Antisanilla and Antisana at 4.000 M.A.S.L.
Visit Antisanilla and Antisana at 4.000 M.A.S.L. then drive 2 hours to Papallacta, overnight in Mamallacta Lodge.
Day 8: Visit Cayambe Coca National Park
Visit Cayambe Coca National Park in the morning and then, drive to Rio Quijos Lodge at 2.200 M.A.S.L.
Day 9: Visit Bombon
Visit Bombon and then transfer to San Isidro Lodge at 2.000 M.A.S.L.
Day 10: San Isidro Full day
Day 11: A couple of hours to photograph some birds
A couple of hours to photograph some birds, breakfast and then, drive 2 hours to Wild Sumaco at 600 M.A.S.L.
Day 12: Full day in Wild Sumaco
Day 13: Visit Wayra Reserve in the morning
Visit Wayra Reserve in the morning, then a hummingbirds spot in Baeza and finally, transfert two hours to the airport in Quito.
