Day 1: Arrival in Cali and drive to San Cipriano
Arrival in Cali and drive to San Cipriano or transfer to the hotel, San Cipriano is located 3 hours from Cali, located in the pacific side, a beautiful place surrounded by the Choco Forest with lot of species like Tree Frogs, Poisson Frogs, Snakes, Lizards, Insects, birds and amazing landscapes, night in Relief Hotel (basic but clean with air conditioned) Altitud: 200 M.A.S.L, the weather almost always is rainy and humid.
Day 2: Visit to the different trails to photograph the local species
Visit to the different trails to photograph the local species, our local guide will try to find for us everything interesting to be captured for our lenses. Night in Relief Hotel.
Day 3: Last morning to enjoy our visit to the Pacific lowlands
Last morning to enjoy our visit to the Pacific lowlands and after lunch, transfer to El Queremal, also in the Choco area but higher, altitude 1.650 M.A.S.L, night in Natural Luxury.
Day 4: Visit Doña Dora Feeders at 1.050 M.A.S.L.
Visit Doña Dora Feeders at 1.050 M.A.S.L. to enjoy a bunch of Choco endemics and beautiful birds, we can try to find Lizards and frogs as well, in the afternoon, back to the Hotel, 30 minutes driving.
Day 5: Visit to San Antonio Forest
Visit to San Antonio Forest to see the beautiful Multicoloured Tanager, also Chestnut Wood Quail and others, we will try by walking to find more species and finally, at the end of the day, we will drive 2/30 hours to Buga, night in El Diamante Hotel.
Day 6: Visit Sonso Lagoon at 900 M.A.S.L.
Visit Sonso Lagoon at 900 M.A.S.L. and then in the afternoon, drive 3:30 hours to Anaime.
Day 7: Visit the Yellow-eared Parrot, the Wax Palm Landscape and other species
Visit the Yellow-eared Parrot, the Wax Palm Landscape and other species, then drive to Retorno del Colibrí photo spot, finally we will drive towards Tinamu Lodge at 1.200 M.A.S.L.
Day 8: Full day in Tinamou Lodge
Full day in Tinamou Lodge, here we will try to photograph Golden-collared Manakin, Blue-lored Antbird and many others. Night in Tinamou Lodge.
Day 9: Visit Hacienda El Bosque at 3.200 M.A.S.L
Visit Hacienda El Bosque at 3.200 M.A.S.L to try some spectacular birds and landscapes, night in Hacienda El Bosque.
Day 10: Visit to Nevados National Park area at 4.000 M.A.S.L
Visit to Nevados National Park area at 4.000 M.A.S.L or 13.000 feet to enjoy the magnificent landscapes and very special birds, night in Hacienda El Bosque.
Day 11: Visit Rio Blanco Reserve or Owl’s Watch Reserve
Visit Rio Blanco Reserve or Owl’s Watch Reserve, this day we will try for different species of Antpittas, Hummingbirds and Tanagers, finally, drive 2 hours to Pereira Airport to take our International flight.
